Twitter - Somebody Finally Found Out How To Make It Work
51Twitter Now Has A Marketing Role
I knew it was only a matter of time before somebody figured out the strange thing called Twitter. It is wildly popular - yet somewhat muddy in the realm of usefulness. Until now.
I stumbled upon the launch of a new site called http://www.TweetAndWin.com. Obviously, it is going to be game oriented, but it requires that you sigh up with them and then tweet your answer in order to win prizes.
I checked it out and had to say someting about this because it is exciting to see something newly launched (it just launced within the past 24 hours) that you know will be crazy popular. I am going to go register myself (my twitter, in case you want to follow me is Telejobs since I'm a job recruiter).. And you have to register in TweetAndWin.com with your actual Twitter handle. So, if you win, you get to "tweet" out the first clue of the next new game. Wow - instantly thousands of people will be hitting your twitter account. That will be huge. Imagine how many Twitterers would find you that normally would never cross your path. The possibilities are astounding.
This all sounds really exciting since it gets people involved and accordiing to the site, the prizes are totally free of fees or anything including shipping. That's hard to come by these days. The prizes aren't shabby either. I did look at the sponsorship program and it is something that we'll probably take advantage of too.
This business model is what I love most of all. It is building a community off of good will and nice rewards, and the advertisers (called sponsors) aren't being gouged to death AND it is using a really fun, quirky tool called Twitter in all of it. Since Twitter was wanting to develope some type of monetization of the site, I think they ought to talk to the owners of TweetandWin.com. They def have a winner.
